This year brings some important changes to our TCSA/WISDOM homeschooling family. We see God moving us towards the future with a focus on transparency and integrity.

We want to do all we can to support our families with an easier reimbursement process, more help for parents starting out in their homeschooling journey, and those who feel bogged down or out of their depth as their children move into High School.
In order to serve you better, we refined our focus to improved accountability, adherence to the Consent Order, and financial integrity.

An email sent to parents on June 30th, [titled: Statement Regarding WISDOM’s Move to GI], declaring the sudden departure of Simon Noster and others from our homeschooling program staff, was unauthorized by the current board.
To be clear, we have not approved the release of school files for this transition. Any communication to renotify has not come from the legal authority of this Association. We are diligently working to protect your children’s information.

We have been informed by numerous parents that the email was sent from a personal account “” This is not a legitimate Association email address.

Due to the serious nature of these events we respect that you will have many questions. Again, we ask that you reach out to our administrative secretary, Margaret Schienbein at Margaret has worked with Trinity Christian’s Wisdom Program for 25 years and is happy to answer any questions arising from the above.

Please accept our apologies for this delay in the official communication from TCSA and its homeschooling program. For legal reasons we wanted to wait with any communication until other urgent matters had been dealt with.

We also know that a lot of pressure has been placed on you to renotify quickly. We want to assure you that you have time! You are not compelled to notify with any board until September. Do take your time to carefully consider who will best serve the needs of your family, and know that the actions taken by these departing employees will not impact your ability to renotify with us for this fall season for our Home School Program.

We will continue to offer the traditional homeschooling model and have been taking a good look at the programs we offer and how well they serve parents. We are excited at some of the planned changes to strengthen the base we have built over the last twenty-five years. We look forward to serving your family in the new school year.

The Board of Directors of TCSA

Trinity Christian School operates a nondenominational Christian school in Cold Lake, Alberta, and offers nondenominational home education throughout the province. We serve families from a wide range of Christian faith backgrounds and also welcome families from other or no faith backgrounds.

Our campus school works with a wide range of students, from academically strong students to those exhibiting various forms of mild, moderate or severe special needs.

The in-school educational program at Trinity leans toward both classical Christian education and Mediated Learning as we believe strongly in developing effective tools for life-long learning.

Our home education program offers traditional homeschooling and self-directed parent programming.

Trinity Christian School Association’s beliefs are as follows

Every single child is important to God, and all can be helped to learn and experience success.

Our students have the right to equitable access of a quality Christian basic education to meet their diverse needs.

All students are modifiable and can experience change in their learning potential. Therefore they are responsible to participate fully in their own educational achievement.

Mediated Learning involves every child, including those with severe needs. It is based on intellectually challenging the child in a safe and caring learning environment.

Our programs must contribute to the spiritual, intellectual, physical and emotional dimensions of the student.

Parents and guardians must be involved in meaningful decisions about their child’s education.

The mission of Trinity Christian School Association is to ensure that students have the opportunity to acquire God directed knowledge, skills and attributes. These in turn should enhance their potential to become self-reliant, responsible, caring and contributing members of society.

“Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.” – William Butler Yeats
